Fleming is a city in Ray County, Missouri, United States. The population was 122 at the 2000 census.
Geography
Fleming is located at (39.194252, -94.050881)GR1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.4 km²), all of it land.
Demographics
As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 122 people, 47 households, and 33 families residing in the city. The population density was 225.6 people per square mile (87.2/km²). There were 48 housing units at an average density of 88.8/sq mi (34.3/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 98.36% White, and 1.64% from two or more races. There were 47 households out of which 38.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.7% were married couples living together, 10.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.7% were non-families. 23.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.60 and the average family size was 3.06. In the city the population was spread out with 25.4% under the age of 18, 4.9% from 18 to 24, 31.1% from 25 to 44, 24.6% from 45 to 64, and 13.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 103.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.8 males. The median income for a household in the city was $35,625, and the median income for a family was $60,625. Males had a median income of $47,500 versus $22,500 for females. The per capita income for the city was $15,697. There were 3.1% of families and 11.2% of the population living below the poverty line, including 12.8% of under eighteens and 30.0% of those over 64.
