Rank: Fleet admiral
Portrayed by: Robert Hooks

Fleet Admiral Morrow, played by Robert Hooks, is the Starfleet commander-in-chief in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. Morrow is also the first visible Star Trek character to hold the rank of fleet admiral. According to the Star Trek novel The Lost Years, it was Morrow who sponsored James Kirk's promotion to captain and pressured him into applying for promotion to the admiralty following the completion of his first five-year mission. Morrow welcomes back the crew of the USS Enterprise at the beginning of Star Trek III and later cautions Vice Admiral James T. Kirk against attempting to return to the Genesis Planet. Prior to Morrow's appearance, the only other fleet admiral identified by name is Fleet Admiral Nogura, mentioned but not seen in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. In the original Star Trek episode "Space Seed", McCoy mentions that a meal set out for Khan Noonien Singh is suitable for a fleet admiral. Vonda N. McIntyre's novelizations of Star Trek III and Star Trek IV give Morrow's first name as "Harry." Fleet Admiral Morrow makes no further appearances in Star Trek, although the Fleet Admiral changeover from Morrow to Admiral Cartwright is mentioned in the Star Trek IV novelization. In the USS Enterprise Officer's Manual, an unofficial Star Trek manual, Morrow is stated to hold the rank of flag admiral, considered senior to the rank of fleet admiral.
