Description
Established in 1945 and named after founder Avery Fisher, the company produces a wide variety of products including portable digital audio products, slim audio systems, and home theater systems. See also: The Fisher
History
The company was originally formed in 1945 by audio electronics pioneer Avery Fisher, before being sold to the Emerson Electric Company for USD $31 million in 1969. It was subsequently sold by Emerson Electric to Sanyo Electric of Japan in 1975 where it has remained since. Avery Fisher remained as a consultant for Emerson and Sanyo.
