Firestone Peruvian Ranch(Kingman, Arizona)has been dedicated to the promotion and improvement of the Peruvian Paso horse since 1988. The ranch offers buyers the opportunity to own and breed champion horses.

History

The Firestone Peruvian Ranch was established by Barbara Thompson-Firestone. Barbara is a former Licensed Clinical Social Worker who at one time practiced as a psychotherapist. Barbara received both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work from the University of California, Berkeley and San Francisco State University. Barbara began riding at age 5 and her classical training began at age 7. Barbars is a trained performer in ‘Formal English Pleasure’, ‘Western Trail’ and ‘Dressage’. Upon finishing graduate school in 1988, she purchased her First Peruvian Paso.

Blood Lines

Over fifty percent of the herd are champions, many acquired their first titles after purchase. One hundred percent of the horses were sired by multi-champions in the United States and Peru. Over eighty percent of the horses carry champions on both sides of the pedigree.

Breeding

Firestone Peruvian Ranch have established a breeding program using only time honored foundation bloodlines. The senior stallion, Sr. Dedo de Oro, was bred by Dr. Bob and Pat Noble of Aubrey, Texas, who have owned Peruvian Paso horses for 33 years. The latest stallion, JNE Andaluz, was bred under the direction of Sr. Raul Risso using his Peruvian National Champion Stallion, *RyR Galileo with a beautiful pure southern mare of Peschiera origin.
