Evercore Partners NYSEEVR is a boutique investment bank and private equity investment firm located in New York. It was founded by Blackstone Group alumni Austin Beutner and Roger Altman in 1996.

Recent Activities

Evercore has recently been expanding its advisory business significantly. Now occupying the number 8 spot in US M&A transactions, above larger competitors as UBS AG and Bear Stearns. This past year they have advised AT&T in its acquisition of BellSouth (the largest M&A transaction to date at just under $90 billion); Cendant on their reorganization and sale of their Travelport business to the Blackstone Group. And the $41 billion split-up of Viacom and CBS Corp. The firm currently has 250 employees and offices in New York, London, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Mexico City, and Monterrey as well as a partnership with Mizuho in Tokyo.
