Emilio Enrico Belén (Born May 4, 1929) is a Spanish painter and poet who is known for the mysteries about his life. Less substantial facts are known about his life and some of his work. It is believed that less than one third of his paintings are known to the public. Belén never wanted to be a great painter, he never wanted to be in the spotlight but he enjoys the gaining interest in his work what occours because of the secrets he kept and still keeps.

Early years

It is believed that Belén is the only son of a farmer and his wife who lived in the Córdoba province in Spain. Other rumors imply that he was born and raised in Madrid but there is no evidence for that assumption. The scenery of some of his early paintings speaks clearly for Córdoba.
