Elizabeth Sanderson Haldane (May 27 1862 - December 24 1937) was the first female Justice of the Peace in Scotland.[1]. Haldane was a social-welfare worker, an author and the sister of Richard Burdon Haldane, 1st Viscount Haldane and John Scott Haldane. She became the first female Justice of the Peace in Scotland in 1920.[1]
