The Town of Eagle is a Statutory Town that is the county seat of Eagle County, Colorado, United States.GR6 The population was 3,032 at the U.S. Census 2000.

Eagle is on I-70 in central Eagle County.

Eagle is located at (39.650515, -106.827178)GR1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.4 square miles (6.1 km²), all of it land.
Notable Events
Eagle is where Kobe Bryant's trial for alleged sexual assault took place. The case has since been dropped.
Demographics
As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 3,032 people, 1,064 households, and 746 families residing in the town. The population density was 1,283.0 people per square mile (496.0/km²). There were 1,116 housing units at an average density of 472.2/sq mi (182.6/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 87.40% White, 0.36% African American, 0.63% Native American, 0.40% Asian, 0.10% Pacific Islander, 9.10% from other races, and 2.01% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 17.15% of the population. There were 1,064 households out of which 43.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.4% were married couples living together, 7.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.8% were non-families. 20.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.80 and the average family size was 3.27. In the town the population was spread out with 30.6% under the age of 18, 6.6% from 18 to 24, 40.8% from 25 to 44, 17.5% from 45 to 64, and 4.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 32 years. For every 100 females there were 109.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 107.8 males. The median income for a household in the town was $62,750, and the median income for a family was $67,500. Males had a median income of $40,833 versus $29,342 for females. The per capita income for the town was $22,657. About 3.3% of families and 5.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including 4.8% of those under age 18 and 11.6% of those age 65 or over.
