EenVandaag (literally 'OneToday') is a behind-the-news show on Dutch television. It is a cooperation between AVRO and TROS and is transmitted on the public station Nederland 1 (formerly on Nederland 2, when it was called 'TweeVandaag'). It was a 1993 merger of the shows Actua (TROS), Tijdsein (EO) and Nieuwslijn (Veronica), after which the participating broadcasters changed several times. Presentation is done in turns by Karel van de Graaf (AVRO), Ferdinand Fransen en Antoinette Hertsenberg (both TROS). Editor in chief is Jean Mentens.

Opinion panel
A recurring part is the Opinion Panel (opinie panel), a groups of over 35.000 viewers (early 2006), who are regularly asked (on Internet) for their opinion on current subjects. This makes it one of the largest opinion panels in the Netherlands.
Politician of the year
In december of 2006, not only the members of the opinion panel, but also members of parliament were asked to elect the 'politician of the year'. Both groups were asked to rank both the best and the worst politicians. Note that this means that a politician could appear on both lists. The politicians chose as best politician Socialist Party leader Jan Marijnissen, followed by Jan Peter Balkenende (leader of CDA and Prime Minister at the time) and Wouter Bos (leader of PvdA). As worst politician they chose Rita Verdonk, qualifying her as an 'elephant in a china cabinet' (a Dutch expression), ruthless and incompetent. The members of the the opinion panel also elected Marijnissen as best politician. As worst they chose Bos. Remarkably, on both the best and the worst list, Verdonk appeared in second place and Balkenende in third.
