Drakensang: The Dark Eye (German title: Das Schwarze Auge: Drakensang) is a Computer role-playing game currently in development at Radon Labs. The game was announced on April 21, 2006 by publisher dtp.[2] Drakensang will be the first game in Fantasy Productions' The Dark Eye-universe since Attic's Northland Trilogy (Realms of Arkania: Blade of Destiny, Realms of Arkania: Star Trail and Realms of Arkania: Shadows over Riva) from the 1990s. The only revealed location is the city of Ferdok in the Middenrealm, located in the very center of Aventuria.[3] Drakensang is the name of a summit in the Anvil Mountains south of Ferdok.[4] The story design was done by Anton Weste, Mark Wachholz, Momo Evers and Stefan Blanck, who all are well-known as writers for the pen & paper role playing game.[3] The game will allow players to create a party with up to four characters, using many familiar RPG staples such as "tanks." [5] Drakensang's budget is approximately 2.5 million euro, and as of September 2007 the game has not been announced by an North American publisher. [5]
