Donal Gibson (born February 13, 1958 in Peekskill, New York) is an American actor, and younger brother of award-winning actor and director Mel Gibson. Donal has done voice acting in shows like ReBoot and Justice League Unlimited (as Captain Boomerang). His most notable voice acting role was probably as Captain John Smith in Disney's Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World, a role which incidentally was played by his brother Mel in the first film, Pocahontas. Aside of voice acting, Donal has also appeared for minor roles in films starring his brother Mel, such as Braveheart, Conspiracy Theory, and Maverick, as well as major motion pictures not starring his brother such as Paparazzi, Casualties of War and One Eight Seven. Donal also holds a United States patent for a type of CD packaging and is an industrial painter.
