History

Earlier, the Jasubhai Digital Media used to publish the CHIP magazine under a licensing agreement with Vogel-Veriag Group of Germany. The magazine was the largest selling technology magazine in India,[2] but differences between the two groups led to Jasubhai parting ways with Vogel in 2001 and launching their own IT magazines.[3] The English magazine was named Digit, while the Hindi magazine was named Smart Computing. Digit was launched in June 2001.[4] Digit calls itself a magazine associated with electronic goods from mobile phones to laptops. Their editorial content primarily consists of end-user tutorials, lab reviews and features. It is the most read consumer technology magazine in India - as per the latest round of NRS 2006 (National Readership Survey)
