Diehl DM-41 HE-Frag Shell was the standard shell for use with the Heckler & Koch HK 69 Grenade Pistol and HK 79 Underbarrel Grenade Launcher. It was designed to contain most of its lethal fragmentation within a 5-meter area of effect, a measure meant to reduce "friendly fire" casualties during rapid assaults or close-in perimeter defense.
