Diane Youdale (born February 13, 1970 in Billingham, England) is a British television personality, who was best known for her role as "Jet" on the television series Gladiators, a game show where players competed in athletic contests against a cast of athletes. Youdale competed in gymnast events and was North of England Junior Gymnastics Champion for four years. She acted with the National Youth Theatre. She studied dance at London Contemporary School for Dance and was a member of the National Youth Dance Company. Youdale's first television appearance was in the series She-Wolf of London. She appeared on Gladiators from 1992 to 1995, leaving the show after hurting her back in a fall. She was competing on the Pyramid and as she tackled the Contender she fell awkwardly, trapping nerves in her neck. She later appeared as "The Games Mistress" on the video game show series Games World and as a presenter on the game show series You Bet! & Finders Keepers. Youdale, who was bulimic in her teenage years, also trained as a psychotherapist. She lives with her boyfriend, enjoys long walks and exercising. She is a keen surfer.

Recent Activities

Diane is now a fully trained and qualified Psychotherapist. In April 2007 she appeared on the Trisha Goddard show on Five and in September 2007 she was correctly identified as a Gladiator on the BBC2 quiz show Identity. On the 17th and 20th March 2007 Diane joined members from Gladiators Zone for a live web chat. Steve Coogan's fictional comic television character Alan Partridge often seems to have a mild obsession or infatuation with 'Jet from Gladiators', often trying to pitch bizarre and increasingly desperate ideas for television shows or events in some way involving her.
