Descent is a 2005 made-for-TV film on the Sci-Fi Channel.
Synopsis
The film is about oil drilling that causes the Earth's crust to sink, pushing the magma up (this is not possible in the real world). A crew must detonate nuclear weapons underground and push the crust back into its proper position. The film has been criticized that it is too derivative of The Core.
