Denise Mina (born 1966, Glasgow) is a Scottish writer of novels and comics. She is known for her crime fiction, including the Garnethill trilogy and the Paddy Meehan series, which will ultimately include five books[1] about a young Glasgow reporter. The Scotsman newspaper has described her as a Tartan Noir author. Mina briefly served as the regular writer of Hellblazer, though her run was not well received by fans, and she was succeeded after 13 issues by Andy Diggle.
