Cynthia J. Neville is a Canadian historian, celticist, medievalist and professor. She is chair of the history department at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She is on research leave during 2006-2007. Her teaching and research interests are the social, political and cultural history of Scotland, 1000-1500, Gaelic lordship in medieval Scotland, and English legal history, 1250-1500.
