Location : 2 km from Trichy Central Bus Stand & 1.5 km from Trichy Railway Station Good Residential area. It is surrounded by Northside  : TSP CAMP (Tamilnadu special police quarters). Eastside : Military Camp. Westside : Railway Quarters. Schools : Kalaimahal Matriculations Hr. Sec School. Little flower girls Hr. Sec School. Santa Maria Matriculation Hr. Sec School. About the area : Hindu, Christians and Muslims equally spread over here. Two big churches, one mosque, and few Hindu temples (Lord Vinayaga temple, Goddess Amman temples). It is a diverse but well integrated community. The Roman Catholic Church is called as St.Theresa Church Important areas are Anbu Nagar, TSA Nagar, Mission Kovil Street, Pillaiyar Kovil Street, Crawford colony, Bharathi Nagar, Convent Street, etc. People of different faiths live in peace and harmony. The residents are usually bankers,business people, teachers and clerical workers. The locality has an equal combination of middle class and upper middle class people. There are many play grounds where a lot of young people play cricket, the national sport.
