Conrad is a city in Pondera County, Montana, United States. The population was 2,753 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Pondera CountyGR6.

Geography
Conrad is located at (48.172807, -111.947131)GR1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.2 square miles (3.1 km²), all of it land.
Demographics
As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 2,753 people, 1,154 households, and 755 families residing in the city. The population density was 2,338.5 people per square mile (900.8/km²). There were 1,332 housing units at an average density of 1,131.5/sq mi (435.8/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 95.75% White, 0.11% African American, 2.29% Native American, 0.18% Asian, 0.11% Pacific Islander, 0.22% from other races, and 1.34% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.94% of the population. There were 1,154 households out of which 32.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.6% were married couples living together, 9.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 34.5% were non-families. 31.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.33 and the average family size was 2.92. In the city the population was spread out with 26.3% under the age of 18, 5.9% from 18 to 24, 25.7% from 25 to 44, 21.1% from 45 to 64, and 21.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 87.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 85.0 males. The median income for a household in the city was $29,432, and the median income for a family was $42,056. Males had a median income of $31,908 versus $19,286 for females. The per capita income for the city was $15,742. About 10.6% of families and 13.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including 15.3% of those under age 18 and 5.7% of those age 65 or over.

- The high school has an enrollment of approximately 212 and the mascot is the Cowboy.
- Conrad once considered dissolving its association with the state of Montana and establishing an alliance with Alberta in 1974 due to frustration over new, stricter grazing policies. This resolution was put to a vote, but did not pass in the town hall meeting at the local fire station. The final vote was 14 to 18. There is a framed photograph in the Home Cafe commemorating the event.
