Colin McAdam is a Canadian novelist. The son of a diplomat, he grew up in Hong Kong, Denmark, England and Barbados. McAdam studied at the University of Toronto and McGill University, and was awarded a PhD in English literature from Cambridge University. He attended Ashbury College for high school. His debut novel, Some Great Thing, was published in 2004, was nominated for the 2004 Governor General's Award for English fiction, and won the 2004 amazon.ca/Books in Canada First Novel Award. He is married to Australian writer Jaclyn Moriarty
