Clint Norris was the bassist and back-up vocalist for the Christian metalcore band As I Lay Dying; Although he was part of the band during the recording of Shadows Are Security, he did not record vocals nor bass for the album. The bass part was recorded by Phil. Prior to joining As I Lay Dying, Norris played bass for the now-defunct band Fontane. Clint Norris recently decided to part ways with the band because of his marriage but he states that he "continues to stay in touch with the band". It has come out, however, that the song "Comfort Betrays" is about Clint during his last days in the band. After leaving As I Lay Dying he picked surfing as a hobby.
