Clemens Wohlmuth (born 1969 in Austria) is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Telekom Austria Czech Republic.

Education

Clemens Wohlmuth studied at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, USA, and University of Economics and Business Administration in Vienna, Austria, where he obtained his degree in business administration.

Career

Wohlmuth started his career as a consultant for Ernst & Young Management Consulting in Vienna, Austria in 1994. In January 2000, Clemens joined Telekom Austria AG in a staff function to the CFO working on the restructuring of the internet activities of Telekom Austria AG.

Czech On Line

Clemens Wohlmuth joined Czech On Line a.s. (now Telekom Austria Czech Republic), as Member of the Board of Directors in the function of the CFO in September 2000, just before the liberalization of the telecommunications market. In his function as [CFO] he was responsible for Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Purchase & Logistics and Office Management. In 2005, he took over the position of COO and the Operation & Engineering and Information Technlology & Systems Departments. Clemens was promoted in April 2006 to the position of CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors. In April 2007 he was appointed in addition as CEO of alternative Telecommunication operator eTel in the Czech Republic.
