Cl.one (pronounced Clone) is a science fiction film written, directed, and edited by Jason J. Tomaric and released in the year 2005. Despite the use of thousands of extras and hundreds of digital effects shots, the film was produced for less than $25,000. Unusually, it was mostly filmed in the vicinity of Cleveland, Ohio; a city not known for its film industry.

Plot

Set in a post-apocalyptic society in which humanity has lost the ability to reproduce; the movie centers around a group of scientists attempting to manipulate the mental states of subjects in order to be able to enact the transfer of their "soul", or blank mentality into several billion clones which will repopulate the devastated planet.

Awards

  • 2005 - Golden Cine Award - Best motion picture
  • 2005 - Cine Special Jury Prize
