Civil Wars was a legal drama that aired on ABC from November 1991 to March 1993. The series focused on the lives and cases of New York City divorce attorneys. It had a famously misanthropic opening credits sequence, in which romantic photo albums were shown as the voice track played couples ripping into each other. The series was produced by Steven Bochco, known for his work on NYPD Blue, L.A. Law, and Hill Street Blues.

Trivia

Two of the characters lived on longer than the show itself. After Civil Wars was cancelled, Eli Levinson (Rosenberg) and Denise Ianello (Mazar) were transplanted to the final season of L.A. Law. This was despite the fact that the shows aired on different networks ( L.A. Law aired on NBC).
