A church strike involves a strike decided by the Christian church. In November 2002 a church strike in Liberia called for by Archbishop Michael Francis to push forward the investigation into the murder of American nuns in 1992, involved the closing of schools and health centres run by the church. The strike was ended in the interests of the Liberian people [1].
