Christmas Snow, better known by her nickname of Chrissy, was a fictional character on the sitcom Three's Company. Chrissy was played by Suzanne Somers. In the original unaired pilot to Three's Company, the character that became Chrissy (then called Samantha) was portrayed by Susanne Zenor. Zenor was not picked for the second filming, so actress Susan Lanier took over the role of Chrissy. Finally, for the final product, Somers won the audience.

Chrissy's early life
Chrissy was born in Fresno, the eldest child of Reverend Luther Snow (Peter Mark Richman) and his wife (Priscilla Morrill). In one episode, she explains that she was named "Christmas" because her father was a big fan of Bing Crosby. In another episode, she states that her name is due to having been born in December. However, in "Roper's Niece", Janet states that Chrissy's birth was "not until January". She was born into a very religious family and always loved her family traditions, such as Christmas with all her relatives. Every Sunday the Snow clan would go to church to hear her father preach. She always loved her family and friends, and upon moving to Santa Monica she ensured she would be back.
Chrissy moves to Los Angeles
A Place to Live
As a young woman, Chrissy moved to LA. She settled in Santa Monica, and got a job as a typist. She found an apartment owned and operated by Stanley Roper and Helen Roper. She roomed with two young women; Janet Wood and Eleanor Garvey.
Eleanor moves out
When Eleanor was impregnated by her boyfriend Ted Phillips, Eleanor got married and moved away, however she kept in touch and came back to visit. Eleanor was married with a reception in the apartment, and went into labor just as she was cutting the cake. After giving birth to a baby boy, Janet and Chrissy were left alone to hunt for a roommate. In their tub, they found a passed out gatecrasher, who had fainted from Chrissy's horrible alcoholic punch. They decided to make him their roommate instead of other, less desirable candidates, such as a pompous, nasal voiced woman, Patricia, nicknamed "Pattikins"
Dumb blonde
Chrissy helped further a common stereotype that women with blonde hair are somewhat dumb, as evidenced by common misunderstandings on her part (when a police officer came to investigate a robbery at the residence, he remarked, "Who would leave an envelope marked "Rent" with money in it in plain sight? No one's that stupid," to which Chrissy replied, "But we are!"). This ditziness is also carried out by her cousin Cindy Snow.
Romance
She worked as a temporary typist and mentioned her work in the typing pool regularly. She was very innocent (due to her upbringing in a religious family; her father was a minister), and not only frequently unknowingly uttered double entendres, but was also leered at by many men on the series, even though she was rarely interested in anything other than love. Her roommate Janet remarked that Chrissy totally fell apart at the littlest hint of "sweet talk." In another instance, Chrissy was picked up by a police officer, who believed she was a prostitute, despite her innocent and good intentions.
The Goodbye Girl
Somers eventually left the series after a bitter salary dispute. Chrissy went back to Fresno to care for her ill mother. Though her mother was getting healthier upon her arrival, Chrissy decided to stay there for a while. Eventually, she decided to make the move back home, as her cousin Cindy moved into the apartment with Jack and Janet.
