Chris Addison (born 1972 in Manchester) is an English writer, stand up comedian, and actor, with a career that has spanned over a decade.

His BBC radio work includes the anthropological lecture series The Ape That Got Lucky with Dan Tetsell, and the political satire The Department with John Oliver and Andy Zaltzman. Addison has also appeared in the BBC television satire The Thick of It as the character of Oliver "Ollie" Reeder. In 2006, Addison recorded the BBC radio series Chris Addison's Civilisation which is based on his Edinburgh show of 2004. The show also featured fellow comedians Dan Tetsell, Jo Enright, and Geoffrey McGivern and was aired in four parts over the summer of 2006. Enright and McGivern will also co-star in the new sitcom Lab Rats (starring Addison and co-written with Carl Cooper) which is currently being recorded for the BBC. On May 8, 2006, he won the Sony UK Radio Awards (Best Radio Comedy Show) for his show The Ape That Got Lucky. On July 23, 2007, he made his first appearance on Just a Minute. He also appeared on Have I Got News For You on November 30.
