Charleston is an area located on the North-West edge of Dundee, Scotland. Menzieshill is located to the immediate South-West. The area is home to two primary schools, Charleston Primary and St Clement's Primary. Due to perceived local poverty, it is common for people hailing from the area to deny they actually live in Charleston. This requires a rather liberal take on area boundaries and even inventing whole new districts to avoid admitting they are Charlestonians, instead claiming to stay in Buttars Loan, Myrekirk, Gourdie, Camperdown, Kingsway West or Pitalpin.
