Charles Samuel McDowell, Jr. (October 17 1871May 22 1943) was Lieutenant Governor of Alabama from 1923-1927, and was the interim Governor of Alabama between July 10 and July 11, 1924, when Governor William W. He served as Mayor of Eufaula from 1908-12, and was President of the Alabama Bar Association in 1915-16. He was elected to the Alabama State Senate in 1918.
