Charles John Burnett is a native of Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire. Now resident in Portsoy, also in Aberdeenshire. Having served previously as Dingwall Pursuivant of Arms in Ordinary, Burnett is now Ross Herald of Arms in Ordinary. He is also the president of the Heraldry Society of Scotland. Two of his great nieces are called Chloe Ellen Esslemont and Lucy Rose Shepherd.
