Challenger is part of the AGCO Corporation and was formed when AGCO bought Caterpillar's agricultural tractor business in 2001. The purchase included the tracked-tractor business. AGCO later added combines, hay equipment, implements, and wheeled tractors. With these additions, Challenger now offers a full line of agricultural equipment to the professional farmer.
