Cesar Gracie is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt who trains a number of top fighters in Pleasant Hill, California. Cesar received his black belt from Carlos "Carlinhos" Gracie, Jr., the son of Carlos Gracie who along with brother Helio Gracie are the co-founders of "Gracie Jiu Jitsu" which is also known as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Cesar's students include black belts David Terrell and Nick Diaz, brown belts Nate Diaz, Jake Shields, and Gil Castillo, as well as purple belt sensation Gilbert Melendez. Cesar Gracie is also well known for his DVD instructional series. On March 10, 2006, Gracie made his MMA debut, losing to Frank Shamrock by TKO in round one of a fight in the Strike Force organization.
