Catherine "Cat" Kaye Greenleaf (born March 13, 1972) serves as features reporter for WNBC, providing human-interest reports for the station's highest-rated morning program, "Today In New York" and other WNBC news programs. Her reports are also featured on NBC's owned and operated television stations and weekend "Today." In addition to her work at WNBC, Greenleaf hosts The Travel Channel's "Vacation Home Search," which explores domestic resort destinations and showcases vacation home properties, as well as hosts and produces DIY Network's "Life in the Craft Lane," daily segments that provide crafting challenges to people. Prior, Greenleaf worked at NYC-TV, Ch. 25, where she served as entertainment correspondent for "NY360," and hosted and produced various programs for the station including, "On The Prowl with Cat Greenleaf," a weekly series on the culture and characters of New York City; "9.99," a guide to spending under $10 a day in the city; and "Backdrop NYC," a showcase for independent films made in New York. Before that, Greenleaf held positions as Queens Bureau Chief and General Assignment Reporter, WRNN-TV, New York (2002-05); General Assignment Reporter, Metro Networks/Westwood One (1991-2001) where she covered the September 11 terrorist attacks for NY1. A graduate of Long Island University, Greenleaf resides in Brooklyn with her husband, Michael Rey.[1]
