Caroline (CJ) Carver is the author of five novels. Her debut novel BLOOD JUNCTION (published in 2001) won the Crime Writer's Association's Debut Dagger Award. Her novels have been published in the UK, the USA and throughout Europe, and critically acclaimed in publications such as The Telegraph, The Observer and The Times. Her latest novel GONE WITHOUT TRACE, a thriller about human trafficking, has been described as "a terrific page-turner,' by Harlan Coben, and "an exciting adventure" by the Literary Review. Lee Child, one of the top thriller writers in the world, had this to say about GONE WITHOUT TRACE: "Hard, fast and read - a solid A grade thriller with a tremendous story and a great lead character." Caroline has experienced thrills and spills herself; in 1992 she took part in the London to Saigon Motoring Challenge, where she and her co-driver were the only all-female crew on a 63-day, 12,500-mile journey. In 1993 she fell into freelance writing and, since then, has worked locally while travelling and writing. She has driven London to Cape Town and put another 14,000 miles of rallying roads under her belt through South America.
