Carl Schenck established 1881 in Darmstadt, Germany the Carl Schenck Eisengießerei & Waagenfabrik (today a subsidiary company of Dürr). The Carl-Schenck-Award by the TU Darmstadt (technical university) is dedicated to him. The today's group structure consists in principle of 2 units: Balancing and Diagnostic Systems Schenck Technologie und Industriepark
