Carl Henkel (born August 16, 1969 in Redondo Beach, California) is a professional beach volleyball player from the United States, who tied with Sinjin Smith for fifth at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. At the 1996 Summer Olympics he was number one in sideout efficiency (87%) and second in blocks per game (4.5). He competed in 107 international international events, more than any other U.S. player. He finished as the runner up in six major events during his career.
He graduated from Manhattan Beach’s Mira Costa High School in 1987 and from UCLA in 1991. He then attended the Whittier Law School and earned his Master’s of Law at the University of San Diego School of Law.
