Campbell is a city in Wilkin County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 241 at the 2000 census.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.6 km²), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the census2 of 2000, there were 241 people, 95 households, and 60 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,020.0 people per square mile (387.7/km²). There were 110 housing units at an average density of 465.6/sq mi (177.0/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 94.19% White, 0.83% African American, 1.66% Native American, 3.32% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.56% of the population. There were 95 households out of which 32.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.5% were married couples living together, 8.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 36.8% were non-families. 30.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.54 and the average family size was 3.28. In the city the population was spread out with 31.1% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 27.0% from 25 to 44, 23.2% from 45 to 64, and 11.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 106.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 102.4 males. The median income for a household in the city was $31,458, and the median income for a family was $37,500. Males had a median income of $27,083 versus $16,250 for females. The per capita income for the city was $15,128. About 9.7% of families and 14.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including 24.6% of those under the age of eighteen and 5.7% of those sixty five or over.
