Coordinates: 36°57′0″N, 7°53′17″W Cabo de Santa Maria is the southernmost point of mainland Portugal, in the municipality of Faro. It is a point in the curve of a beach in the Island of Barreta, which has also the name of Island of Cabo de Santa Maria. Its coordinates are approx. N 36º57'0", W 7º53'17".
