Brock Andrew Gillespie is an American professional basketball player who has a British passport as second nationality. He was named as a high school All-American by USA Today, Street & Smith's, and McDonald's at Clarksville High School (same high school as NBA stars Shawn Marion and Trenton Hassell) in Tennessee, before joining Rice University, where he played for the Owls for four years and for his father, Marty Gillespie (Coach). Finished his college career as one of Rice's all-time leading scorers with 1,007 points and played alongside current NBA players Mike Harris (basketball) (Houston Rockets) and Morris Almond (Utah Jazz). Played for the Auckland Stars in New Zealand in the 2005-2006 season and won the NBL championship title. Played the 2006-2007 season under the legendary Dennis Johnson (former Boston Celtics' star), for the Austin Toros (minor league club of the San Antonio Spurs) in the NBA Development League. He was selected in the 3rd round of the 2006 NBA D-League Draft by the Toros with the 34th overall selection. Played with former NBA standouts Jay Williams (basketball), Troy Bell, Loren Woods, James White (basketball), and Allan Ray on the Toros. Spent the summer of 2007 playing for the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats and is playing the 2007-2008 season in Europe for Plus Pujol of Lleida in the powerful LEB-Gold Division of Spain. Resides in Houston, Texas in the off-season and plays alongside many NBA stars in the Nike Pro-City Houston League at the famous Fonde Center in the summers. His agent is Tony Dutt, who also represents many NBA players and coaches such as Nick Van Exel (retired), Shawn Kemp (retired), Rashard Lewis (Orlando Magic), and Avery Johnson (Dallas Mavericks' Head Coach), among others. Lists Tupac Shakur as his favorite musical artist, "Miami Vice" as his favorite TV show, and "Rocky" as his favorite movie. Was cast in Jerry Bruckheimer's "Glory Road" (a Walt Disney Production) in 2006. Lists Pete Maravich, Shawn Respert, Dennis Johnson, Jerry Tarkanian, George W. - Was teammates with LeBron James at the Five-Star Camp in the summer of 2000 and won the championship for the week.
