Breanna Lynn Bartlett-Stewart (September 6, 2000 - September 6, 2000) was a baby girl who was stillborn in Paragould, Arkansas to Jason Stewart and Lisa Bartlett. Her stillbirth is of particular note for being the first example of a stillbirth whose cause was successfully resolved via the Kleihauer-Betke test. It is worth noting that there may have been non-Rh disease-related factors that contributed to Breanna Lynn's stillbirth. Breanna Lynn was stillborn in her mother's 45th week of pregnancy, five weeks beyond the 40-week mean length of the gestation period. At the very least, pregnancies of this length would generally involve rather serious complications, if not a stillbirth, as was the case with Breanna Lynn. Breanna Lynn was also an unusually large baby, weighing in at 11 pounds, 12 ounces, and measuring 22 inches in length. Babies born as heavy as Breanna Lynn are generally the result of their mother's suffering from gestational diabetes. Whether Lisa Bartlett had been diagnosed with gestational diabetes is unknown; gestational diabetes could have indeed been another contributing factor to Breanna Lynn's stillbirth. In memory of Breanna Lynn and stillborn babies in general, 39 U.S. states and four Canadian provinces have designated her birthday, September 6, as Stillbirth Remembrance Day.
