Breadalbane is a community located in Queens County, Prince Edward Island. Its current population is 170.

History

Breadalbane was incorporated as a village in 1991. The village was named after Breadalbane, Scotland.

Culture

Breadalbane is somtimes referred to the area as "Tofino East" referring to the Vancouver Island community, well known for it's scenic landscape but also for the "cool vibe" and strong connection to environment. Artists, goat farmers, organic farmers, musicians, potters, weavers, biologists, maple syrup operators, motor cycle racers, gourmet chefs, folks camping out, and visitors far and wide partake in a variety of pagan events, solstice rituals, rum-dums, Jack Daniel's Fool Moon Toboggan Parties, Funk the Dunk gatherings, Wild Within cathartic moments, ravioli filling dinners, and merry-making of every imaginative kind on a regular basis. Bocci ball experts are commonplace as well as cross-country skiers and home made wine makers. A great many of the locals have built their own houses, most of which are known to sport original works of art. The sacred "Three Oaks" appears to be the most revered spiritual centre, and good scotch seems to be the preferred beverage. Breadalbane also has a community center and a library and was the first station east of Emerald Junction on the Prince Edward Island Railway.
