Bloomfield Housing Estate is opposite Bloomfield shopping centre on the outskirts of Bangor, County Down in Northern Ireland. The area includes a Primary School and the main roads are Bloomfield Road, Bloomfield Road South, Ballyree Drive and Upritchard Park.
Area
The Bloomfield Area reaches from Bloomfield Road to Bloomfield Road South and also includes Upritchard Rugby Field (Home to Bangor RC and is often host to many international games).
Bloomfield Shopping Centre
The Bloomfield Shopping Centre has now been running for over 16 years. In August 2007 work was completed on a new multi-storey car park and the expansion of three new stores. The first to open was Smyths Toy Store in September. Soon to open is Hannah and Brown. The final place is rumored to hold British Home Stores. It includes two major stores, Tesco and Marks and Spencers. There is also GAME, Argos, Easons and Phones4U.
