Bishop Kelley High School is a Lasallian Catholic high school with over 900 students, grades 9 to 12, located in the center of the Tulsa metropolitan area on a campus of over 37 acres (150,000 m²). The school is a function of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tulsa and operates in the Lasallian tradition of the Brothers of the Christian Schools (Christian Brothers). The school is named for Bishop Francis Kelley, the second bishop of Oklahoma. Kelley is a comprehensive secondary school with a curriculum that is primarily college preparatory. More than 25 middle schools send students to Bishop Kelley. The course offerings reflect the needs of a diverse student body in terms of both ability and interest levels. There is an application process for admission. Transfer students must submit an application and have an interview prior to acceptance. Bishop Kelley is only one of two Roman Catholic high schools in the Diocese of Tulsa. Bishop Kelley serves Catholic and non-Catholic families in Tulsa and the surrounding communities who seek a college preparatory program within a Christian environment of concern, trust, and growth. Consistently, more than 70% of the entering freshman students have matriculated through the Catholic elementary system. The school is noted for the academic achievements of its students and alumni and its first-rate athletic program. The school has won more state championships than any other school of its size in Oklahoma, including state championships in baseball, football, soccer, softball, basketball, tennis, golf and track. The school is also a perennial contender for state championships in speech and debate, academic bowl, and robotics competitions. Construction is currently underway on a new library on the campus. A new fence that surrounds the school has recently been constucted along with a gate at the main entrance for security purposes.
