Billy James Creech is a former Republican member of the North Carolina General Assembly representing the state's twenty-sixth House district, including constituents in Johnston and Wayne counties. A businessman from Clayton, North Carolina, Creech served in his eighth term in the state House. Mr. Creech ran for United States Congress from the second district of North Carolina in 2004. Creech lost the election to incumbent congressman Bob Etheridge. He is not related to the late Henry Creech
