Beverly Bighead is a fictional character in the television show Rocko's Modern Life and the comic of the same name.

Joe Murray, the creator of Rocko's Modern Life, based the Bigheads off of a group of neighbors who lived next door to Murray during his childhood. Murray described the neighbors as "grumpy and pissed about everything." [1]

Bev Bighead in the comic book version

Bev is Ed Bighead's wife. Bev "wears the pants" in the family; she is loud, domineering, and she keeps Ed in line. Beneath her ugly exterior and grating voice, very similar to that of Harvey Fierstein, she is a closet party animal. She does not have every bit of control over Ed, she just straightens him up when she needs to. Although it may seem like she and Ed have love/hate relationship, they actually have more love than hate in it. Unlike how Ed totally dislikes Rocko and his friends, Bev has a soft side for them and defends them when Ed torments them.
