The Ben Franklin was a manned underwater submersible built in 1968. The vessel was the first submarine to be built to ABS Class. After completing its first and only research mission in the Gulf Stream, it was sold and did not sail again. The Ben Franklin now resides at the Vancouver Maritime Museum.
