Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ is a sword-and-sandal historical fiction epic originally depicted in the 1880 book by American general and author Lew Wallace. Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ has since been adapted into a Broadway play, silent films, talkies, and a musical.

Adaptations from the epic
Film
There have been four films made based on the Lew Wallace epic:
- Ben-Hur (1907 film), a one-reel silent version
- Ben-Hur (1925 film), an MGM silent film starring Ramon Novarro, one of the most successful silent films made up to that time
- Ben-Hur (1959 film), a sound film starring Charlton Heston, the famous MGM Technicolor epic that won eleven Academy Awards, including Best Picture
- Ben-Hur (2003 film), an animated direct-to-video film featuring the voice of Charlton Heston.
Stage
Two stage performances have been developed:
- Ben-Hur (play), an 1899 Broadway play.
- Ben-Hur, the Musical, a 1999 stage musical.
Other uses of Ben-Hur
- Club Sportivo Ben Hur is also the name a chain of sports clubs in Argentina, the most important being the one located in Rafaela.
