The Bellanca 17-30 Viking and its derivatives were a family of light aircraft built in the United States from the late 1960s to the 1980s. They were the ultimate expression of a design lineage that stretched back to the Bellanca 14-7 of the 1930s. The Viking included the large, single tailfin and, low wing, retractable tricycle undercarriage first included on the Bellanca 260C and added a more powerful engine. Later versions offered the option of a turbocharged engine. While main production finished in 1980, manufacturing was briefly revived in 1982 by Viking Aviation.
