The bastard sturgeon, fringebarbel sturgeon, ship sturgeon, spiny sturgeon, or thorn sturgeon (Acipenser nudiventris) is a species of fish in the Acipenseridae family. It is found in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Hungary, Iran, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Republic of, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, possibly Georgia, and possibly Turkmenistan.
