Coordinates: 52°06′31.58″N, 2°18′43.22″W Barnard's Green is a popular district centre in Great Malvern, Worcestershire, England situated about 1/2 mile down the hill from the main town centre. The main road (Barnards Green Road, B4211 – B4208) runs around a grassed traffic island called Twelve Apostles Island with a strange change of priority half way round, and is notorious for confusing learner drivers. At the lefthand side of Court Road, right next to the bus stop, facing the main town centre uphill, there is the Nursing Home called the Court House. Some national retailers such as Somerfield and Bargain Booze are represented alongside smaller independent shops and a variety of hot-food takeaways including fish and chips, Chinese and Indian. There are bus stops at the western and eastern ends of the shopping area and a council run car pay and display car park a short walk to the east. Time limited street parking is available for free. The Barnard's Green officially encompasses several housing areas around the main shopping area. However, most locals only recognise the area around the traffic island to be Barnards Green. Barnards Green Cricket Club[1] is situated about a mile from the shopping Centre and offers superb sporting opportunities for children of all ages.
